Welcome To Castle Of Chatters!

This thread is a guide through all the features and everything else you need to know about forums. If, after you've been through the entire thread you still have a question then feel free to contact Donad, or any user in the "Yasper's Clan".

What Not to Do

DO NOT make moderator application/request threads.

What Do I Put in My Moderator Application/Request?

When sending an application/request, be sure to include your age, gender, and location, a few reasons why you would make a good moderator and any extra information.

For new members who would like a signature or avatar (the picture under your name), continue reading.


Firstly, find an image you would like to use and save it (right click the image, and hit 'save image as' in a folder you'll remember it, usually 'my pictures'). Then go to an image hosting site such as but not limited to:

ImageShack -
File size limit: 1024 KB
File types allowed: gif, jpg, jpeg, png, swf (Flash)
Duration: Images that have not been accessed in over a year will be deleted.
ImageVenue -
File size limit: 1.5 MB (1,500 KB)
File types allowed: jpg
Duration: Hosted images not accessed for one year will be deleted from their dedicated server. -
File size limit: 1.5 MB (1,500 KB)
File types allowed: .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .bmp, .tif, .tiff
Duration: We delete files that don't receive at least 1 (one) hit per month.
Big Hosting -
File size limit: 1 MB (1,000 KB)
File types allowed: Aarj, avi, bak, bcc, bin, bmp, bpp, cfg, class, conf, cue, dcu, doc, eps, exe, gif, gz, gzip, hlp, ini, iso, jar, jpg, jsp, lisp, log, mid, midi, mov, mp3, mpg, ogg, pas, pdf, pic, png, ppt, ps, psd, rar, swf, tar, tif, txt, wav, xls, zip
Duration; choices: 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 1 year, as long as possible.
Image Web -
File size limit: 1999 KB
File types allowed: gif, jpg, png, bmp, swf, pdf, zip
Duration: Images that have not been accessed in over 3 months will be deleted.
Putfile -
File size limit: 10MB (25MB if you join)
File types allowed: .jpg, .gif, .png, wmv, .mpg, .mov, .asf, .asx, .mp4, .3g2, .mp3, .mid, .wav, .midi, .swf
Duration: uploaded files will be deleted after 24hours. (longer if you make a FREE account)

Personally I use, although it requires you to make an account (free of charge).

Once you have uploaded your image for your signature, it should give you a link to it. Most sites will give you multiple links for it, including a direct link, HTML link, and one that includes tags. Then you should click on "Profile" and go to signature. Then you should click on an icon that looks like a little tree in a square, and when you put your mouse on it, it will say "Image". Click on the icon, and a sorta' long rectangle will pop up under it. This is where you put the link of the picture. Paste the link, and TA-DA!- You have a signature.

After this is done you can hit 'preview signature' to see if you got it right, and if it isn't showing up or you're having some sort of problem, re-examine what you did, and if you can't figure out the problem on your own then, and only then post a thread in the Technical Support forum asking for help, and be as detailed as you can about your problem. If we don't know what's wrong, we can't fix it. Simple enough.

Size Of Signatures

As a rough guide signatures should in total be no more than about 640 X 800 pixels. Keep in mind other members when you are doing this, as some are on dial up and it can really slow down their page if there are too many large images. If you're on dial up, you probably know what I mean. Just be courteous.


For an avatar, click on profile, then click "Avatar". It gives you four choices. You can either " Upload an Avatar from your computer ",
"Upload an Avatar from an URL", "Link to an off-site Avatar" , and "Select your Avatar from our Gallery".

This is your user control panel. Here you can edit your email address, change your password, and edit all of your information, + shows you your member name.

Preferences panel :

- Allows you to disable connections to other members
- Allows you to disable or enable smilies in text messages, newsletters, .
- Allows you to hide your online status
and alot more...

Signature :

-Images and/or text automatically displayed at the bottom of each of your posts.

Find threads and/or posts based on criteria you specify (keyword, member, etc.)

Private Messaging

To private message another member!

You can private message someone by clicking on "Messages" right beside "Profile, and "Log out" at the top of the page

Then you would put the username of the member you would like to pm, then put in the subject topic, then state your message in the box, and press send Very Happy
